We are at the beginning
“We are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book whose pages are infinite…”
I do not know who wrote those words, but I have always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want to make it. We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we can imagine, just like a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone.
We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed, we reap a good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds, we reap a useless crop. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
I want the future to be better than the past. I don’t want it contaminated by the mistakes and errors with which history is filled. We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spend the reminder of our lives.
The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do will change it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will effect it. Each day we will bring with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our businesses, if we will only make our efforts. We are just at the beginning of the progress in every field of human endeavor.

我不知道这些文字是谁写的，但是我一直很喜欢它们并用它们来提醒自己，未来的好坏完全取决于我自己。我们可以掌握神秘而不可知的未来，并且从中创出我们所能想象的任何东西，正如雕刻家可以将未成型的石头雕刻出雕像一样。
我们每个人都像农夫。如果我们种下一颗好的种子，我们就会获得丰收；如果我们的种子长得不好，并且播种后杂草丛生，我们就会徒劳无获；如果我们什么也不种，就根本不会有任何收获。
我希望未来会比过去更好。我不希望未来被那些充斥在历史中的错误所污染。我们应关心未来，因为我们的余生都要在未来中度过。
过去已经一去不复返并且成为了静止的，我们无法做任何事情来改变它。未来就在我们眼前并且是动态的，我们所做的任何一件事情都会影响未来。每天都可能发现新的领域，在家中或是在我们的事业中，只要我们愿意付出努力。我们正处在人类所努力钻研的每个领域中进步的起点。

人生总是不断向前发展的，很多时候，我们总是因为过去的一些错误而耿耿于怀，以至于未来的日子里都充满着不开心。其实过去的已经无法挽回，但是生活依然在继续，为什么不放开怀抱努力向前呢，因为每一天都是一个新的起点，从现在开始，好好学习，好好工作，珍惜好每一天，这样我们的未来才会变得更加美好！
