■《朗文英语正误词典》的interested词条有这样一组正误句：
误：If youare interested toknow more about the town’s history, you should visit the museum.
正：If you are interested in knowing more about the town’s history, you should visit the museum.
■显然，《朗文英语正误词典》认为be interested后不能接不定式。
■以上正误说明不合实际，请看以下实例：
I’d be very interested to hear your opinion.（引自《朗文当代英语词典》第4版interested词条）
I’d be interested to hear more about your work.（引自《剑桥高级英语词典》interested词条）
I shall be interested to know what happens. 我很想知道情况会怎样。(引自《牛津高阶英汉双解词典》第四版interested词条)
■从以上例证可以看出，be interested后接不定式是完全可能的，但是它与interested in doing sth有区别吗？请看有关词书的解释：
1．《朗文英语语法》（第16.60条）给出的对比例句是：
I’m interested to hear your opinion. 我想听听你的意见。(你的意见使我感兴趣)
I’m interested in emigrating to Canada. 我对移居加拿大感兴趣。(我可能移居加拿大)
2．《英语用法指南》（第二版，第16条）给出的解释是：
(1) 说明对得知的事的反应，常常用interested+动词不定式。如：
I was interested to read in the paper that scientists have found out how to talk to whales. 我从报纸上看到，科学家已发现如何与鲸鱼谈话。我很感兴趣。
I’m interested to see that Alice and Jake are going out together. 看到艾丽丝和杰克在谈恋爱，我很感兴趣。
I shall be interested to see how long it lasts. 我有兴趣看看它能维持多久。
(2) 表示了解某种情况的愿望，interested+ -ing和interested+动词不定式两者都可以用。如：
I’m interested in finding out / to find out what she did with all that money. 我很想弄清楚那笔钱她是怎么花的。
Are you interested in knowing / to know whether I’m pregnant? 你想知道我怀了孕吗?
(3) 表示做某件事情的愿望，我们通常用interested带-ing形式。如：
I’m interested in working in Switzerland. Do you know anybody who could help me? 我想到瑞士去工作。你是否认识什么人可以帮我忙? (不能说：I’m interested to work in Switzerland…)
