■该书第67页上有这样一句：

This concerns everyone of us. 这关系到我们每个人。

■我们认为，其中的 everyone  应分开写成 every one，因为按英语习惯，复合不定代词everyone 后面不能接表示整体与部分关系的 of  短语。如著名语言学家 L. G. 亚历山大在其《英语词汇用法手册》(Right Word Wrong Word)就指出下面这个句子中的Every one不能合写成Everyone：

Every one of their children did well at school. 他们的每个孩子在学校都学习很不错。(不能用 Everyone of…)
