【注】有时也说beyond comparison。如：

beyond control 无法控制，失去控制
The children were beyond control. 这些孩子不听管教。
【注】在实际使用时，该短语通常说成beyond one’s control。如：
The situation was beyond our control. 这局势我们控制不了。
What happened to him was beyond his control. 他所遇到的事是他无法控制的。
beyond description 难以形容，无法描述
The scenery is beautiful beyond description. 景色美得难以形容。
The play was dull beyond description. 这出戏沉闷得无法形容。
【注】有时也说beyond expression [words]。如：
The scenery was beautiful beyond expression. 那景色妙不可言。
She was really touched beyond words. 她确实感动得无法形容。
beyond doubt 无疑的，毫无疑问的
The truth of the story is beyond doubt. 这个故事的真实性是毫无疑问的。
The evidence proves beyond doubt that he is innocent. 证据无疑表明，他是无辜的。
【注】有时可在doubt前加上all来加强语气。如：
I believe beyond all doubt that he will achieve success. 我对他会获得成功深信不疑。
beyond expression 无法形容，难以表达
The scenery was beautiful beyond expression. 景色美不可言。
I feel a sense of satisfaction and gratitude beyond expression. 我感到说不出的满足和感激。
beyond hope没有希望
Well, it’s beyond hope now. 唉，现在已经没有希望了。
【注】若表示“没有……的希望”，则用beyond hope of。如：
She is blind beyond hope of cure. 她瞎到没有希望治好的地步。
Some of the houses were beyond hope of repair. 有些房子没有办法修缮了。
beyond measure 无法估量地，极其，非常
Her joy was beyond measure. 她无比喜悦。

【注】有时也说above measure。如：

beyond price 无价的，极贵重的

【注】有时也说without price或above price。如：

【注】question前有时可用all加强语气。如：
