so还是such?
——对一道中考试题的商榷

■2011年徐州市中考英语试题第64小题：
I like people in Xuzhou. They are s_______ nice people.
所给的答案为so。(摘自李朝东总主编《2100年全国中考试卷汇编江苏十三大市中考试卷汇编之英语》中国少年儿童出版社 2011年7月第6次印刷 p96)
■可以看出试题中的“so”用于“so+adj+n”结构中。然而，笔者认为这个答案是错误的，至少是值得商榷的，因为它超出了中学生尤其是初中生的英语知识范围。当前中学英语教师自己所接受的与传授给学生的说法是这样的：so…that结构可分四种形式：
(1) so+形容词(分词或副词)+that从句；
(2) so+形容词+(an)+单数名词+that从句；
(3) so+动词+that从句；
(4) so+many, few, (much, little)+复数名词(不可数名词)+that从句。(笔者注：有时这四种结构也可单独使用，即后面不接that从句)(张鑫友编著《英语相似词语辨析词典》华中师范大学出版社2004年5月第1版 p672)
